Is the NEW Tour Edge E725 Driver the Ultimate Fairway Finder?

The NEW Tour Edge E725 Series driver dropped and they are as advertised! 10,000 MOI makes it one of the most forgiving drivers on the market. At $399, this club is a must have for anyone looking to add a new driver for next season. Learn more about the nitty gritty below!

Looks

At address, the driver sits with a slightly draw-biased looking face. They created a 360° Ridgeback system whereas the old 723 series had a ridge that went directly through the top of the crown. This change in technology gives it a sleek look with minimal distraction and a matte finish.

The Shape relative to the E723 also comes with a slightly more elongated backside. One thing that is quite appealing with this driver is that the overall shape of the head looks considerably smaller than some of the other 10K MOI drivers on the market.

They’ve also reduced the writing on the bottom of the club and created a larger “Power Channel” as seen on the front half of the sole. This tech helps with increased face flexing and added forgiveness on shots struck lower on the face.

Lastly, they’ve taken the adjustable weighting and moved it to the backside of the club. Compared to the E723, this makes the weights only visible from the back whereas the old weights were put on the sole. Like the E723, the 18g weight can be setup to be neutral, draw, or fade biased. These different weight settings can adjust ball flight by up to 7 yards in either direction. They could add additional bias through loft settings too.

Sound

The sound is a complete 180° turn from the 723 models. Due to a new internal ribbing structure, striking the ball produces a very crisp sound at impact, getting rid of the bright, more abrasive sounding metallic “ping” that was in the 723 series.

Performance

The E725 has made a pretty big leap in terms of performance too. The forgiveness of this club makes it perfect for the mid to high handicap golfer. Based on Trackman testing, my carry distance had a variance of 5 yards and around 600 RPMs of spin leading to more fairways and consistent distance.

Conclusion

If you’re someone who struggles to hit consistently off the tee, this driver is an absolute must! Finding the fairway makes lower scores much more obtainable rather than punching out of the treeline. This driver is available in a 9, 10.5, and 12 degree head along with senior through extra stiff shaft options. The stock shafts include the Project X Cypher 2.0 and Denali Blue 60. Other shafts are available at no upcharge as well!
